A new poll is out and seems to be the case with every new poll, the situation for the boy wonder keeps getting worse and worse.

62% disapprove of the way Bush is handling his job as president. His highest disapproval rating to date.

42% approval handling terrorism.

41% approval handling economy.

28% approval handling the situation in Iraq. That's 70% disapproval! And the fucktard continues to tie this mess with the war on terror as he did again today in what some would call a speech.

67% oppose the war in Iraq. another all-time high.

11% support sending more troops to Iraq. Makes you wonder what the The Decider needs more time to think about for the new way forward or whatever his catch phrase of the month is. People are just sick and tired of this shit.

66% want changes made as soon as possible and not to wait wait several weeks before making those changes. This one is one that has me scratching my head. Wait until early next year for a new plan as many more of troops are badly injured or killed. Disgraceful!

Now as the Democrats take control of both houses in January, how will they take control of GW Bush? Only time will tell.

What timing. I decided to cash a check at this bank yesterday instead of this morning. As Sugar Land becomes the not so quite town of past, I'm afraid we'll alot more this.

Sugar Land police are hoping the public will recognize a bank robber who was caught on camera Tuesday morning.

If you recognize this man, call the Sugar Land Police Department.

The suspect held up the Chase Bank at 2455 State HIghway 6 around 9 a.m.

Witnesses say he waved a silver pistol, ordered everyone to the floor and demanded money.

He left with an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen running toward the Carrabba's parking lot.

The suspect is described as 5 foot 8 inches tall, weighing between 180 and 190 pounds.

He wore a stocking cap and glasses.

Certainly not my Texan of the year and I have yet to meet anyone today who disagrees with me. But if you a have room full of so called non-partisan kiss asses anything is possible. The Texas Legislative Conference submitted a press release of their selection today:

Governor Rick Perry has been named Texan of the Year by the Texas Legislative Conference, according to conference Advisory Committee chair Robert Howden.

Perry will be presented the award on Friday, March 23, at the conclusion of the 41st event. He will be joining an array of prominent past honorees since 1974 that includes First Lady Laura Bush, President George W. Bush, Barbara Jordan and Lloyd Bentsen.

The Governor has also offered a visionary transportation plan know as the Trans-Texas Corridor which will be a topic of the conference on March 23. In addition, passage this past summer of property tax reform was led by Perry and will also be a panel topic discussion at the conference.

Visionary transportation plan known as the Trans-Texas Corridor? More like visionary land grab of the people!

Tell that to the farm and home owners of Texas.

Only in Texas this does this kind of absurdity continue to happen.

I received the four page The Gibbs Report today and thought for sure this was a joke, but I told my wife wait a minute...this is Shelley Sekula Gibbs. Anyway she pledges, while her time in Congress (one holiday week), to work for Conservative values before the real Congressman, Nick Lampson, takes the seat he won a month ago. Seriously, she plans to take on issues such as tax cuts, securing our borders, Nasa, Ellington Field, medical reform and the uninsured while you and I are opening Christmas presents and getting drunk with family. We are so proud of you Shelley...this is money well spent as long as it's not money that belongs to my district.

In what has become an annual tradition of prognostications, religious broadcaster Pat Robertson predicted Tuesday that a terrorist attack on the United States would result in "mass killing" late in 2007.

"I'm not necessarily saying it's going to be nuclear," he said during his news-and-talk television show "The 700 Club" on the Christian Broadcasting Network. "The Lord didn't say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like that."

Robertson said God told him during a recent prayer retreat that major cities and possibly millions of people will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after September.

Washington intelligence, military and foreign policy circles are abuzz today with speculation that the President, yesterday or in recent days, sent a secret Executive Order to the Secretary of Defense and to the Director of the CIA to launch military operations against Syria and Iran.

The President may have started a new secret, informal war against Syria and Iran without the consent of Congress or any broad discussion with the country.

This man should be nowhere near our armed forces!

Not everyone who attended Gov. Rick Perry's inaugural ball was pleased with rocker Ted Nugent's performance.

Using machine guns as props, Nugent appeared onstage as the final act of the evening wearing a cut-off T-shirt emblazoned with the Confederate flag.

He shouted some remarks about non-English speakers that were offensive to some in the audience.

But Perry spokesman Robert Black downplayed the incident, calling Nugent "a good friend of the governor's."

If President Bush persists with his planned troop increase in Iraq, as all signs indicate, he will do so against a strong tide of U.S. public opinion, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll shows. Democratic leaders in Congress, with support from some Republicans, are pressing for votes on nonbinding resolutions signaling opposition to the president’s policy.

If Congress approves that resolution, the poll shows, 65% of Americans say the president shouldn’t move ahead with his plan. (Some 30% say go ahead.) The poll of 1,007 adults, conducted Jan 17-20, has an error margin of 3.1 percentage points.

The result signals that Mr. Bush made little headway with Americans in his recent speech to the nation outlining his new policy. Mr. Bush will have another opportunity for persuasion in his State of the Union address on Tuesday night.
