Ellington Field must stay

Houston needs Ellington Field. This is one area Delay and I can agree on.

"Texas is too large an area to downsize its interior defense capacity, especially in light of the unique homeland security responsibility shouldered by the border states," Mr. DeLay said while standing in front of nine Apache helicopters on a runway at Ellington Field. "Texas' size, its geography and its strategic importance make its National Guard capacity critical to our national and homeland security."
