Congressman returns DeLay money
Funny how nobody
wants his money now.
Some Connecticut charities will benefit from a congressional Republican leader's problems.
Second District Congressman Rob Simmons says he's donating more than $39,000 he has received from former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.
Simmons says he's decided to donate the money he received from DeLay's political action committees to local charities.
Simmons has also joined other Republican House members in calling for new leadership elections later this month.
