David Van Os: Don't dump the Constitution

This HPV vaccine mandate fiasco has brought out the best in folks... Again found in BOR.

The order mandating vaccinations is as unconstitutional as it can be. It is a stark violation of the separation of legislative and executive powers. Whether the vaccinations are a good idea or a bad idea is beside the point here. Rick Perry's claim of executive power to do this is not an iota different from Bush's claim of executive power to wiretap without warrants. Same thing, same unconstitutionality. Perry's decree ruptures Constitutional checks and balances. It can't be tolerated. Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.

Again this executive order is wrong, wrong, wrong. No matter how the folks who enjoy the Government sticking needles in you try to spin it...it just doesn't jive. Not here, not now, not ever.
